I got this info from an e-mail reading group I belong to. I haven't visited the site yet, but I thought some of you avid readers might want to try it out.
Library Thing
Library Thing is a fun site for helping you create a library out of your
own personal book collection. Enter some words from the title, the
author, or the ISBN and the site will automatically locate the full book
information and a thumbnail picture from Amazon.com, the Library of
Congress, or elsewhere. It will then create a catalog of your books with
the Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress classification system, subject
tags, etc. The site can also recommend books you might like (or not
like), connect you with users that have similar reading interests, give
you book ratings and other information, and more.

Library Thing is very cool. I'm able to keep track of books that I want to read and how I can get them (bookshare, need to scan, etc.), and also what I've read, ratings for each book, and when it was read. They also have lots of discussion groups and things like that. The site is quite accessible.
Good, I'm glad to hear from someone who has used it and likes it. Makes me glad I posted. I will have to check it out myself soon.
What I find even more interesting, is the overall stats that they've found, now that it's become so huge. They can tell you all these random trends, like what people who own book A are least likely to own, which is actually more interesting to know than what they're most likely to own. Book agents and publishers are loving it.
Hey, I think I'm going to like this.
The way you create an account is to give it a user name and password. If that user already exists, you are logged in, if not then an account is created. Cool.
Thanks Becky.
This goes on my favorites list.

I'd never heard of this before, but now that I've played on here, I like it. Thanks for posting this, Becky!
Sounds of some use, thank you!
